YUPO® is a truly space-age material, manufactured in a state-of-the-art paper mill using advanced technology. Raw materials arrive by rail and are carefully stored in dedicated silos and hoppers before being transformed into pellets. These pellets are then fed into patented heating and extrusion systems, where the magic begins.

During extrusion, the base layer and two surface layers are formed simultaneously. These three layers are stretched in both directions to create a dimensionally stable, biaxially oriented substrate. This process produces countless microscopic voids, giving YUPO its exceptional strength, high opacity, and ultra-smooth surface. Every stage of production is computer-controlled and rigorously monitored, ensuring compliance with what are widely regarded as the most demanding quality standards in the industry.
