Kolinsky is a trade name of a natural brush bristle with very fine tips and soft hair. It’s ideal for almost every media, including oil and watercolours. Most precious details usually are painted with kolinsky sable brushes.

Kolinsky sable is considered to have the best hair in the world due to its unique characteristics. The maximal thickness of hair is 0.15mm, what can be compared with thickness of hog bristle, and a tip is very fine, like squirrel’s one.
