These natural hog bristle flat brushes are neither too hard nor too soft, which is perfect for painting in oil other heavy-bodied paints. Flat shape is very universal and especial good for strait lines, endings and spreading.
Generally speaking, hog bristle is not for fine details due to the nature of hair. They are mostly for blending, spreading, applying paints etc. If you need to paint precise lines, take a look at hog imitation brushes or other kinds of synthetic brushes. For fine lines and glazing techniques check our kolinsky sable brushes.
