Art Spectrum Colourfix Pastel Paper is fine abrasive paper for professional pastel works.
How Colourfix pastel paper made?
- They take sheets of acid-free, 300 gsm (140 lbs) hot pressed European watercolour paper
- Then they screen-print with Art Spectrum® Colourfix™ primer.
How to use Colourfix paper?
The Colourfix selection has 20 lightfast colours. Even though Art Spectrum designed Colourfix paper primarily for soft pastels, this paper has variety of use:
- different pastels,
- oil colours,
- acrylics,
- inks,
- oil pastels,
- gouache,
- watercolours
- dry media such as charcoal and pencils.
The natural and abrasive surface holds multiple layers of pastel with no fixative needed. It allows to preserve and show all beauty of pastel colours.
If a mistake happens, to erase pastel from Colourfix paper simply lift off excess pastel with clear adhesive tape, brush off with a dry brush, or use a pencil art (kneadable) eraser. Alternatively, errors can be overpainted or areas touched up with the matching colour of Art Spectrum Colourfix™ Primer.
