What is Art Spectrum?

Art Spectrum is an Australian leading manufacturer of oil paints, watercolours, gouache, inks, mediums, unique primed paper and pastels. The company is in business for more than 50 years using the highest quality lightfast pigments which are triple-milled with traditional methods using high-quality primers.

This company was founded in Melbourne by David Keys Snr, an artist and RMIT lecturer and it is still family-owned and operated business in Australia.

Characteristics of Art Spectrum artist oil colours:

Paints have very high viscosity and work perfectly for impasto techniques
Paints have moderate to short drying time due to alkyd resins added
Palette has many unique colours, with Australian soul and respect
Manufacturer uses linseed oil as a binder in most paints. For white colours they use sunflower oil, and for metallic colours – alkyd resin.
