About PanPastel brand
Bernadette Ward & Ladd Forsline – PanPastel Creators – were working on developing this product for a long time. Five years of research & development. They set up their company Colorfin and a small factory in rural Pennsylvania, USA.
The founders still take an active role in the manufacture of every batch of colour in the same factory, with the help of a small team of employees who assemble and pack PanPastel.
The idea behind the development of PanPastel was to create a dry colour medium that would work like a fluid paint. The pan format changes everything as it make the colours function like a dry velvety paint. This brings many benefits, for example the artist can now mix pastel colours together for the first time.
What is special in Pan Pastel?
PanPastel Colors are professional artists’ quality soft pastel colours in a unique pan format (cake-like). Their special qualities mean that artists can blend and apply pastel (dry) colour like paint for the first time. You can use PanPastel for painting, and drawing as well as for mixed media. These pastels have minimal binder and fillers, resulting in rich, ultra soft and super-blendable colours.
The colours have excellent lightfastness and are fully erasable.
