Winsor and Newton Liquid Indian Ink

Black ink, referred to as masi in India, is a blend of various ashes, water, and glue. This traditional formula serves as the foundation for our Liquid Indian Ink. It was during the mid-17th century that Europe started importing ink from India, leading to its designation as Indian ink. Since their launch by Winsor & Newton in the 1890s, our Drawing Inks have been favored by illustrators, with a consistent emphasis on color quality. This ink is suitable for application using either a brush or a dip pen.
