Decola glass and ceramic paints are water-based, so they don’t have any unpleasant smell, like lacquer-based ones. For application you’ll need a quite soft synthetic brush as consistency is semi-translucent. We recommend having 2 coats of paint as just a single coat doesn’t have enough coverage and a bit seen-through. It’s always better to use light colors first for the same reason. As an advantage, you can achieve great glazing effects with these paints.
Colours are very easy to mix and they keep their brightness after drying. Furthermore, they don’t change appearance after drying at all. So, you paint your project, like it and you can be sure it will remain the same look. Glossy shine will also stay there, so no varnish is needed at all.
Complete drying time is about 3 hours (manufacturer recommends 12 hrs), after that it’s safe to apply liners and bring some final touch into your artwork. Short-time baking (20-30 min) at low temperature (about 100C) is also recommended.
